A slab push may be defined as a condition of tectonic plates that provoke pressure from a down-dip motion.

What do you mean by Tectonic plates?

Tectonic plates may be defined as broken pieces made of the Earth's crust (outer shell), or lithosphere.

An example of slab push may include a geographical location near Peru where the Nazca Plate and the South American plate assemble each other.
